THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD IN OLD TESTAMENT & NOBLE QUR’AN

Dear Reader: Do you believe that God has attributes of perfection? If your answer is yes ... then His Holy Book Revealed for mankind must also be perfect. Are you a believer of the infallibility of God's prophets (peace be upon them) and their purity from all sins? Have you made a comparison between the attributes of God in the Old Testament and the Noble Qur'an? I have attempted to provide consolidated information from resourceful books and web sites and arrange them in summarized comparative tables. I appeal to the reader to examine this book with an unbiased mind and open heart to the truth because this is the only way that may lead to the right decision that shapes one's life in this world and the world to come. Dear Reader: My apologies for any text that may be offensive. Mentioning these texts are only for inference.

Similarities between Jesus and pagan characters

Undoubtedly, Christianity borrowed a lot from the pagan rituals that were widespread in the Greek, Roman, Persian and Indian Empires at that time. The Noble Qur'an addressed these pagan ideas and discussed them extensively. Allah, Exalted be He, says: (The Jews say, "Ezra is the son of Allah"; and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of Allah." That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved [before them]…) (Noble Qur'an 9:30). The statement: "...they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved [before them]." is an inimitable and eloquent expression of the trail of ancient paganism which has lived on through the ages. Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) was no more than a messenger, like many other messengers who came before him. Likewise, Muhammad (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was a messenger of Allah. Allah, Exalted be He, says: "Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him...." (Noble Qur'an 3:144). This is how we find the Noble Qur'an inimitable and eloquent in whatever it says and mandates. It says nothing but what is right. It speaks nothing but the truth.
